Our Immersion day:
The Boating Careers Immersion Day is a free, one‑day experience designed to introduce students to real careers in the boating and marine industry.
Participants get the opportunity to visit workplaces, meet industry professionals, and take part in practical activities that showcase what a career in boating is really like — on and off the water.
This program is ideal for students who are curious about hands‑on careers and want to explore their options before committing to work experience, an apprenticeship, or further training.
What you’ll experience:
Students attending an Immersion Day can expect a supportive, engaging, and practical experience.
On the day, participants will:
- Visit real boating and marine workplaces
- Take part in hands‑on activities
- Meet and talk with industry professionals
- Learn about different marine job roles and pathways
- Gain insight into apprenticeships and training options
- Ask questions and receive honest, practical advice
No prior experience or technical knowledge is required.

The Immersion Day is fully funded, removing barriers to participation.
