The Role
We’re seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Production Coordinator to join our team, reporting to the Operations Manager. This hands-on role combines floor leadership with administrative coordination to ensure smooth production operations. You’ll thrive in our fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
What You’ll Be Doing
Production & Floor Leadership
Coordinate daily production activities ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products
Maintain strong floor presence to support workflow and team requirements
Lead, motivate, and manage the production team in a productive, compliant environment
Assist with final QC checks and coordinate vessel dispatch
Planning & Coordination
Develop, maintain, and execute production plans
Allocate resources effectively to minimize bottlenecks and meet targets
Liaise between production and sales for accurate timelines and communication
Update schedules and maintain progress reporting
Continuous Improvement
Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices
Identify process inefficiencies and drive improvement initiatives
Conduct Root Cause Analysis and implement corrective actions
Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures
Quality & Safety
Ensure all processes meet stringent quality standards
Verify quality gates at each manufacturing stage
Promote zero-harm safety culture and WorkSafe compliance
Support OH&S program implementation and training
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
Minimum 2+ years manufacturing production experience
Minimum 2+ years supervisor experience
Proven people management and leadership skills
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Microsoft Office proficiency (especially Excel)
Understanding of OH&S and WorkSafe requirements
Australian resident available for permanent full-time work
Genuine, verifiable references required
Highly Regarded:
Boat building or marine manufacturing experience
Lean Manufacturing and 5S methodology knowledge
Caravan or boat-building industry background
