Job Description:
Flatwater Covers, a leading provider of premium marine upholstery and boat cover solutions, is looking for a motivated and hands-on apprentice to join their team in Thomastown.
As a Marine Trimming Apprentice, you’ll learn the specialist trade of trimming and upholstery in the marine environment — including making custom boat covers, canopies, biminis, cushions and interior fitouts. You’ll gain valuable on-the-job experience while working toward a nationally recognised qualification.
🔧 What You’ll Learn:
- Cutting, measuring and pattern-making for marine applications
- Use of sewing machines, industrial tools and specialist materials
- Fitting and installing custom boat covers and interior trim
- Customer service and workshop safety standards
✅ What We’re Looking For:
- Reliable and enthusiastic with a good eye for detail
- Comfortable using hand tools and working with your hands
- Eager to learn and take direction from experienced tradespeople
- Interest in boats or marine craft is a bonus
