The Boating Careers Immersion Day aims to provide school students with hands-on experience in the marine industry to promote career pathways and employment opportunities. The program will be conducted across three locations: Dandenong South, Williamstown, and Geelong, with visits to various marine industry employers.
Step 1: Provide students initial exposure to the industry with supervised visits to marine employers that can showcase apprenticeship opportunities in Marine Craft Construction, Marine Mechanical and Marine Trimming.
Step 2: Students are offered work placement opportunities to be coordinated to VicLLENs
Step 3: School Based Apprenticeship opportunities for those students participating in the S2W – coordinated by Headstart.
